Newsletter January 17th 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians

Hope you are all well. We are trying a new way of doing our newsletters - please bear with us while we try out a few designs over the next few weeks.

I would love it if life were perfect and nothing went wrong. Wouldn't we all? While we try to get everything right sometimes things happen we don’t know about. For example, we found out this week that the calendar on the app (which is pulled from our website) is not as accurate as the one on the website. Eg, Nant BH is showing as one day on the app but the three days on the website. No idea why - we shall let the website company know. It's still like that if you want to check.

One other thing mentioned to me this week is the number of apps we have in school and I would like to clarify. You only really need the SeeSaw app. All other information can be accessed via our website. The school app is a side app to the website. It pulls through info from there and sends push notifications, but you do not need to have it. Simply bookmark the school website in your phone favourites on the school news page. The calendar is working fine on the website and as I said earlier we only found out this week the calendar on the app isn’t showing what's on the website.

You do not need the Teachers2Parents app to receive texts - you will still receive texts if you do not have the app. Feel free to delete this app. I have never promoted this app to you - the company may have at the end of texts said to download the app.

You do not need the Parent Pay app as you can access it from the Parent Pay website. You may find it easier with the app and this is fine, but again, I have never said to download it.

I can only apologise for the extra-curricular clubs mix up. My brain clearly muddled up dates and days. I think they are accurate now - PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF DAY FOR URDD ART! Please see the poster in this newsletter. Please remember that each member of staff does this because they want to do it for your children - they are not asked by me, nor contractually obliged to do so. They offer gladly and are happy to do so.

Again, thank you for all your support and please do contact us if there is anything you wish to discuss. Have a great weekend - Mr Redgrave.
